Peer Pressure

I was thinking the other day about why Jesus sent his disciples out in groups of two to minister to the local population.  Ministering in a church is relatively easy because most people in attendance are open to hear what God has for them but ministering to random people on the street is tough.  First you have to get their attention, then you have to convince them you’re not trying to run a scam, then they have to agree to receiving prayer.  When you’re by yourself it’s pretty easy to just walk by a guy on crutches but when you’re in a group with the sole purpose of releasing God’s love it changes the dynamic of the situation.  That makes me think that maybe Jesus sent them out in groups because of peer pressure.  Friends can apply some healthy pressure to convince others to go for it and that could be the difference between a miracle and a wasted opportunity.
